*Job Description*
Senior Systems Engineer with an in-depth
understanding of Windows Server 2008 installation and configuration as well
as the ability to independently and quickly recognize, diagnose and resolve
complex problems.
*Required Skills: *
• A minimum 7+ years’ experience working with Windows Server
hardware and software installations and configurations
• Extensive experience with:
· Installing Windows Server 2008 over a network
· Configuring performance monitoring and optimization Server 2008
· Securing files and resources server 2008
· Configuring protocols and network connections
· Deploying service packs
• Microsoft MCSE certification
• The ability to work independently in a fast paced environment and
the ability to multi-task
• Strong communication skills to both technical and business
audiences
• Experience independently analyzing and developing innovative
resolutions for medium-to-complex problems involving availability and/or
performance at the component level
*Preferred Skills: *
• Customer service skills and the ability to successfully and
consistently satisfy client expectations when working in a Solution Center
environment
• Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years’ equivalent work experience
*Additional Provisions: *
• Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug
screening, criminal history check and credit check.
• Once candidate’s resume is approved and interview passed, the
agency is responsible for providing drug screening.
• *Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the
security clearance process. *
• If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of
employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance.
• *Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States
within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not
include military family members.)*
• All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client manager
or his/her designated representative.
• *Agency will not be reimbursed for overtime charges without
previous written authorization. Authorized overtime will be reimbursed at
straight time. *
• The enforced dress code is business casual, i.e. collared shirt
with slacks for men, no skirts above the knee for women.
