Skills Strong development skills in stored procedures and ETL scripts and expertise in Entity Framework, service layers, and replication CANDIDATES MUST HAVE LISTED IN RESUME: *SQL SERVER DBA EXPERIENCE* *SQL SERVER PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE* *T-SQL EXPERIENCE* *ENTITY FRAMEWORK* A little about the job: POSITION OVERVIEW Under the general supervision/direction of the Product Engineering Manager the Development Database Administrator is responsible for supporting software development through the maintenance of SQL Server databases. This position is primarily as a Development DBA but also contains some aspects of an Administrative DBA. In particular, this position exists to provide ongoing support for the Madison Cable Program. JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Installation, configuration, and upgrading of SQL Server software. Works with software programmers to manage SQL Server tables, Stored Procedures, etc. Works with IT teams to support database replication, backup, and recovery. Database tuning and performance monitoring. Interacts with business and manufacturing users to determine database requirements. (Preferred) Provides additional programming support for software application development. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree required. Minimum 5 years experience as a MS SQL Server Database Administrator required. Ability to develop table schema, stored procedures, views, business functionality, and user interfaces in n-tier architecture. Strong Transact-SQL programming capabilities required. Experience with database replication required. Routine interaction with business and manufacturing users requires good verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Entity Framework and Service Layers strongly preferred.
