Position: *C++ Developer* Location: Norwalk, CT Client: McKesson going through Alliance global solutions We need a C++ developer (software engineer)- who has a strong algorithm. The information about the role and client are attached- this is a 2-3 year project. They need only a few years’ experience ClaimsXten (CXT) Rules Software Developer will be responsible for rule software design, development and testing using C++, TCL and specialized rule authoring tools. A rule is a software module that implements healthcare insurance claims editing logic, written in a higher level domain specific language (DSL). ClaimsXten leverages proprietary rule logic language. *Responsibilities*: Participate in collaborative review of functional and technical requirements documents, rule specifications, and TSGs. Participate in rules technical design reviews ensuring efficient software design is achieved. Design and develop high quality rules algorithm to meet customer requirements without compromising rule engine integrity. Perform unit tests and support Quality Assurance testing efforts. Work with QA Analysts and Rule Writers to troubleshoot unit test results. Collaborate with Rule Writers to ensure that rule functions in accordance with requirements. Maintain software tools used during the life cycle of rules development process. Implement new functions to support rule development needs *Basic Qualifications*: *Education/Training:* Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or related engineering field. *Business Experience:* 5+ years’ experience in software development using C++, C# or Java. Excellent research and analytical skills. Pluses: Understanding of healthcare insurance claims editing and related processes. *Technical Skills* Must have: Base knowledge of C++. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with one following programming languages: C++, C# or Java. Strong communication skills in technical specifications, system documentation and on-going systems support. Pluses: Knowledge of Tcl. Knowledge of .Net. *Specialized Knowledge/Skills:* Strong analytical skills. Ability to prioritize individual work assignments. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; be flexible and responsive to adapt to significant amounts of change in work assignments and priorities.
