Role: Java/ Hadoop Developer
Location: NYC
Duration: 6+ months
Skills/Requirements:
Experience with common Object-oriented design patterns as applied to
Java
AWS SDK experience with an emphasis on EMR, SWF, S3
Experience with Maven and GitHub. Jenkins and Artifactory preferred
Big Data batch and streaming tools - Pig, Hive required, Sqoop preferred
SQL and Relational Databases, especially MySQL
Unit testing (JUnit, PigUnit preferred) and documentation (Javadoc)
Experience building intensive data driven applications
Linux experience
1+ years Pig/Hive experience
3+ years relevant Java development experience
Excellent communication skills
Bash scripting, unix command line
Agile/Sprint planning methodology, JIRA experience a plus
