Role: Isilon Engineer Type: 6 months Location: Vernon Hills, IL Senior Isilon Transitional Resident to assist the customer with the intricacies of the new infrastructure during the transition to the new Isilon (also referred to as 'solution') environment and on into their production application environment. The Solutions Architect is responsible for providing post-implementation management, migration support, and knowledge transfer to address skills and resource gaps to ensure the Customer’s transitional readiness according to EMC and industry best practices. Services provided by EMC include: § Assists the customer with the transitional responsibilities related to the post-implementation management, migration support, and knowledge transfer at the customer site(s) to support the solution hardware, software, and processes. § Shares ownership at the customer’s direction of transitional responsibility for the Isilon migration, configuration, cluster support, monitoring, maintenance, provisioning, and service level alignments at the customer site(s). § Provides recommendations for the customer’s readiness for migration and post-migration support by conducting system reviews for the customer’s existing solution environments related to underlying storage arrays and associated host servers. § Assists with the solution documentation of policies and procedures in conjunction with the compliance manager(s) and with other key stakeholders. § Provides knowledge transfer of best practices to address customer's skills and resource gaps to ensure successful implementation of the customer's new technologies.
