*Job Title: Business Analyst*
*Location: Washington, DC (Need Locals)*
*Duration : 6+ months *
*Client : Fannie Mae *

Business Analyst III is responsible for leading the functional requirements
gathering team.
The candidate works directly with internal customers to understand the
business environment and needs. Identifies relevant design, process and
specification issue.
Must have prior experience leading analysis/requirements phase of a project
and ability to work closely with end-users to document requirements
Must have experience leading UAT test phase including test strategy
development, test case creation, test script development, test execution,
defect tracking and reporting.
The candidate may also be required to train end users.
• As a part of the Strategic Initiatives key projects such as SLIM and
Compass Upgrade projects are underway. At present, there is a need for
Analysis and UAT testing resources to assist with these projects.
- Business Objective
• Compass Upgrade project and SLIM (Expanded Pooling Window) project
- Applications/systems the contractor be working on
• CMH, FAS65 and Compass
- Purpose of this Application/System
• CMH which is the database that holds the loan data for pooling
• FAS65 which is the business rules engine that determine the eligibility
of a loan (whether it can be pooled or not)
• Compass which is a Third Party COTS tool that is used for creating pools.
It is the Front End for CMH
- Day to day Activities
• Lead analysis/requirements writing phase. Assist is determining test
strategy and defining the test plan. Test case and test data creation for
functional testing. Test execution for Functional, Regression and
Integration Testing. Documentation of test results. Coordination with QA
and Development Teams for defect resolution
- Must Have’s
- Strong analysis skills (including data analysis skills)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact with end-users to understand business needs, lead
analysis and requirements gathering phases and meetings.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
- UAT Testing/ QA testing –Test cases/Test data creation and execution
- Defect tracking
- SQL skills, Excel skills (functions such a V-lookup, sorting/filtering
data, using formulae is spreadsheets), Familiarity with HP Quality Center
- Knowledge of SDLC
- Preferred skills, but not required?
• Mortgage industry experience
- Importance of Skills (Stack Ranked)
