*Project Location* *Boston , MA* *Duration* *6+ months Contract* *Interview Process: **Phone + F2F* *Visa:* *USC or GC, EAD-GC, H1B Only* *Job Description*: *Position Summary:* *The Informatica Developer role involves the following:* •Work with other Informatica development and support team members to deliver new and enhance existing ETL processes with a focus on populating new data warehouse reporting functionality as well as maintenance of data flow and interfaces among applications and data repositories in place at Boston University. •Work with business analysts, database and report developers, and interface with clients to be sure that ETL solutions effectively align with business needs •Participate in and clarify requirements among all parties involved •Participate in data model design and defining data mappings •Follow best practices on development and naming standards *Required Skills:* •A solid understanding of database technology and reporting is required. •A working knowledge of SQL, an understanding of relational database design, and experience with requirements specification and ETL database population and development solutions is required. •Specific knowledge or experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable: - Oracle and PL/SQL - SQL Server and TSQL - Data profiling tools - SAP BW (integration data with SAP and/or SAP BW) *Additional skills preferred:* •5 to 10 years of experience in database and ETL (Informatica PowerCenter) development and support. • Experience in requirements gathering; working with IT clients to elicit needs and translate those into deliverable objectives of ongoing project and operational sustainment activities. • Knowledge of database and reporting technologies • Exceptional time management, prioritization, and organizational skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills *Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but the skills below could substitute:* •An understanding of SQL, databases, and data warehouse and reporting concepts is required. •Skills and experience in data model design (understanding entity relationship diagrams), reporting and dashboard design is required. •Knowledge and experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and client interaction/relationship management are desired. •Skills and experience in data model design, reporting and dashboard design, and client requirements and relationship management are desired. •Detail-oriented; ability to follow already-defined standards.
