The positions reports to the Chief Technical Officer and provides services to the client Development, Professional Services, Support and Sales teams. On development projects, the DBA will work closely with software engineers and architects to build elegant and high-performing software products. On customer assignments, the DBA will operate as a consultant on billable product implementation, enhancement, integration, and conversion projects. The DBA will be called on to be a subject matter expert for database technology in general and the application of this technology on client products in particular. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* · Works with software engineers to leverage database solutions for new products and features · Builds and updates database schemas as needed to support ongoing software development efforts · Writes stored procedures and other database objects to implement key business rules and procedures · Provides subject matter expertise on Oracle and SQL Server database administration, design, implementation and configuration · Provides leadership on the evolvement of database capabilities for future versions of Rapport and InfoLease · Researches new versions of database software and their application to our business · Measures and tunes key queries to improve performance using high-end industry tools · Assists with database topics in customer RFPs and RFIs · Provides database expertise in support of the implementation of Rapport and InfoLease implementations · Upgrades customer production databases to modern versions of the client software · Collaborates with Documentation team to publish technical guides and white papers outlining best practices in support of client solutions · Tests and optimizes queries, scripts and stored procedures to improve performance · Helps develop customized software extensions · Confers with implementation teams and developers regarding problems with and capabilities of various internally-used databases · Travel estimated at 20% and often on short notice. · Provides occasional database expertise in support sales opportunities · Participates in sizing the physical and virtual environments requires to operate client software in customer data centers *Qualifications:* · Requires a BS/BA in related discipline and 5-8+ years of experience, or MS/MA in related discipline and 3-5+ years of experience · Professional certification is preferred, especially in Oracle 11c or 12g · Advanced knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server databases · Experience with modern HA and DR solutions for Oracle and SQL Server are a plus · Advanced technical knowledge in database development methodologies, design, coding and implementation · Working knowledge of shell script (Python, Perl, ksh, Windows) or more advanced programming languages (Java, C#, C++) · Proficient knowledge of Windows and Red Hat Linux · Knowledge in the use of Extract, Transform and Load software to move bulk data between enterprise systems · Knowledge of enterprise reporting solutions such as Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Pentaho, etc. · Knowledge of integration technologies such as web services, enterprise messaging, etc. Thanks & Regards, Udbhav Mathur Talent Acquisition Specialist *TEKshapers Inc. * Ph:248-565-4747 *130 Email:- [email protected] <[email protected]> Gtalk: udbhav.intime *Tekshapers Inc. – WMBE Firm* *1441 E.
