· Truly an Operation Teradata DBA, ideally with Application DBA experience
too.
· This person will need to have strong communication skills as they
won’t simply be responding to tickets, but interacting with Teradata’s
client and making recommendations.
· Would like to see someone with a Teradata Master Certification, but
not a deal breaker.
· They had someone back out because they said they would move and then
wife would not move. They are in a bad situation and ready to move now, but
would really like to see local candidates.

This is a 6 month contract
Location: Austin Texas- face to face interview – Need local candidates
• 8-15 years experience in computer technology or related
fields
• Knowledge of data warehousing including active enterprise
Intelligence, replication techniques and BI tools
• Must have Teradata experience working as a production
Infrastructure, application or development DBA as well as prior
team leader experience
• BS/BA degree in Business Technology, Computer Science, or
Management with advanced degrees desirable in Operations
Management or Process Quality disciplines
• Teradata Masters Certification
• Excellent problem solving skills with demonstrated experience
managing and resolving work requests, change requests, and
incidents
• Demonstrated knowledge of Teradata tools and utilities, specifically:
• Database Administration
• Teradata Database Query Log
• Teradata Index Wizard
• Teradata Locking Logger
• Teradata Manager and PMON
• Teradata Viewpoint
• Teradata Priority Scheduler Facility (PSF), TASM
• Teradata SQL Assistant
• Teradata Statistics Wizard
• Teradata Visual Explain
• Teradata Load Utilities, FastLoad, Mload
• TTU and other utlities
• System Administrator
• Pack Disk, Scan Disk
• Teradata Database Query Log
