*Position: *IT Project Manager *Location:* Boston, MA *Duration*: long term, possibly 1-2 years *Interview*: *Phone then face to face. Local candidates preferred* Our Boston, MA client is currently seeking an exceptional individual to join their IT team. They want IT Project Manager to lead and manage IT projects in support of the business-driven, customer service-oriented approach to providing IT services across the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled team and contribute to a critical and highly visible project. *Detailed statement of duties and responsibilities:* · Develop and maintain detailed reports that will effectively monitor Health and Eligibility Team operations · Provide coordination and efficient communication strategies in a highly matrix environment. · Provide detailed reporting on project *budgets and financial forecasts* · Collaborate with agency business leaders to develop and maintain ongoing release schedules · Composing, and reviewing procurement documents such as *APDs, RFPs, SLAs and submitted proposals* · Develop detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, project checklists and budgets to meet established time frames, funding limitations and staffing availability · Prepare comprehensive *supporting plans in the areas of quality control, risk management, change management, testing and other associated project management areas* · Communicate with external stakeholders and internal partners to resolve issues related to project deliverables and other topics as needed · Adhere to established Commonwealth policy and procedures with respect to project management methodology quality assurance and other related standards *Preferred Qualifications:* · Knowledge of, and experience in a *healthcare* information technology environment · *Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate* · Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with management, end users and project team members · Ability to interact effectively with technical personnel and with a wide variety of technical resources · Ability to translate and communicate technical concepts, information, plans, and procedures to both technical personnel and non-IT business users · Knowledge and demonstrated ability to conduct detailed planning, and to perform risk assessments and their associated risk mitigation actions · Excellent oral and written communication skills, and presentation skills *Job Requirements:* · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field · Minimum (5) five years of extensive hands-on experience with project management as the project manager with full *accountability and financial responsibility* · Minimum (5) five years of IT experience in one or more technical roles · Experience with and *preparing project documentation* such as detailed requirements · Proficiency with *MS Project* · Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Visio, Outlook and PowerPoint.
