Position: GuideWire Scrum Master

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Contract: 1+ year

*Interview: Will need to interview in person, no Skype.*

Must have *Guidewire and Insurance experience*

*Description:*

*Below are the job responsibilities: *

·         Responsible for leading one or more Scrum teams to successful
delivery of *Guidewire Data Hub* in support of implementation of Guidewire
Billing Center within the established program roadmap

·         Responsible for grooming the product backlog in collaboration
with the Product Owners to ensure delivery of promised business value

·         Facilitates sprint planning with scrum team(s) to ensure work is
assigned effectively to achieve planned velocity and makes course
corrections or adjustments during sprints to deliver on plan

·         Blocks and tackles for team by resolving issues and minimizing
outside distractions, utilizing fact-based negotiation and decision-making
methods

·         Coordinates and facilitates end of sprint demonstrations as well
as other sprint closure processes

·         Escalates issues that can't be resolved intra-scrum team or
within SoS to Project Manager or Program Manager for assistance

·         Provides cogent and accurate status of work including sprint,
release, and project burn downs with explanations of variance

·         Facilitates sprint retrospectives with team to ensure continuous
improvement & removal of blockers; also presents results and
recommendations to management team for action

·         Attends Scrum of Scrum (SoS) meetings to facilitate inter-team
communication, dependency management, and issue resolution

·         Assists Project and Program Manager with planning future releases



*Below are the skills, abilities and experience required for the role*

·         Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

·         5+ years’ experience with managing teams to deliver within a
transformative program utilizing an iterative methodology.

·         Demonstrated ability to establish influence within a
cross-functional, matrixes team.

·         Demonstrated situational awareness and judgment in escalating
issues for resolution and interacting with business stakeholders.

·         Demonstrated ability to foster a transparent environment and
utilize fact-based decision-making to resolve conflict in order to
establish a working environment of trust.
