Participates in network planning, network design and engineering for business focused activities. Documents and integrates communication architectures, network topologies, hardware and software components, transmission and signaling links and network protocols into complete network configurations. Performs professional level work by developing solutions requiring analysis and research. Evaluates new products, performs network problem resolution and assists in the development and documentation of technical standards. Monitors network systems, participates in on-call rotation, performs system tuning and makes recommendations for improvement. Responsible for critical work and/or complex projects performed within a broader technical and business context. Must work in multi-vendor router, switch and firewall environment. *Required Skills:* Plan network changes in extremely complex, multi-tier datacenter environment for dozens of web-facing applications and business partner communications.
