*Project Location* *Downers Grove, IL* *Duration* *6+ Months Contract* *Interview Process: - Phone +* *Skype* *Visa: Any* *Job Description* The leader has stated that this role requires developer skills but is largely focused on operations. *Required Experience* - *Oracle PL/SQL: 4+ years* - *Perl: 4+ years* - *Linux: 4+ years* - *ETL Tools Sets: 3+ Years* *Job Responsibilities* - Manage, execute and develop database scripts and automation that support needed database model/data changes - Develop and enhance existing data integrity monitoring plan to identify data issues - Investigating and finding root causes of data issues - Implement SQL scripts to monitor and report data discrepancies - “Clean" the data by implementing SQL scripts to fix data discrepancies and provide ongoing monitoring reports - Identify quality improvements necessary to ensure data integrity - Write ad-hoc queries and reports as requested - Work closely with Manager to prioritize business and data needs *Experience* - Directs the design of databases to store, secure, select, and retrieve information in a logical, orderly manner. Ensures that designed systems provide sufficient controlled avenues for access to and update of the database. - Able to work independently and as a team member and be able to lead a team if required. - Provides highly technical expertise in the use of relational and/or object-oriented database management systems. - Proactively and retroactively resolves program and system problems through dumps and other debugging techniques. - Provides data and storage management technical leadership and subject matter expertise to support critical projects. - Experience with Oracle, Hadoop and other database technologies. - Design, develop, and maintain data marts. - Experience with Extraction Transformation, and Load (ETL) toolset. - Develop SQL queries to extract data. - Handle source control and configuration management issues. - Advise developers in database table design, champion development and design standards. - Experience with Marketing type databases and data workflow management - Ability to wear multiple hats spanning the software-development-life-cycle across Requirements, Design, Code Development, QA, Testing and Deployment – experience working in an Agile/Scrum methodology a big plus - Experience with JavaScript, Qlikview and Grails is a plus - Perform other related projects and tasks as required. *Education* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 8 years of general experience, 4-6+ year of experience with ORACLE databases and ETL tool sets.
