*Responsibilities:*

·         Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, rectify and resolve TPT/BTEQ
workflow/session failures & related issues

·         Log, in detail, the root-cause, the troubleshooting-flow, the
impact of an incident etc. on available incident-management tool/application

·         Ensuring complete adherence to SLAs for all operations of
workflows/sessions/jobs

·         Configure & maintain TPT/BTEQ environment using recognized best
practices (ODBC installation & configuration, TTU configuration etc.).
Install/provide support for TPT/BTEQ hot fixes, patches, upgrades etc.

·         Configure & maintain components for the data integration
environment (folder creation; folder/file privileges;
create/maintain/manage TPT/BTEQ run-time environment on Unix/Linux machine,
Archive-scripts/logs, capture & maintain logs and log directories, cleanup
of log directories)

·         Proactively analyzing workflows/sessions/jobs and identifying,
developing & implementing performance improvement opportunities

·         Handle deployment methodologies, code and data movement between
Dev., QA and Prod Environments (deployment groups / folder copy/ data-copy
etc.)

·         Maintain data integration environment scheduler (Control-M, JCL,
Unix/Linux-cron etc.) schedules and dependencies as required

·         Handle L1-level database operations support activities and
database administration activities including data-movement between/within
system(s), database-user-management, database-space-management(e.g. MVC),
database-object-management (e.g. Table-Creation/ Table-Rebuild etc.),
database-privileges-management, database-performance-monitoring (using
Viewpoint or OS-level utilities), release session locks, initiate & monitor
BAR jobs etc.

·         Attend periodic meetings with client

·         Develop and produce daily/ weekly operations reports and metrics
as required by IT management

·         Develop clear and detailed technical & process documentation
(processes for service-requests; SOPs for incidents). Develop and maintain
known-error-database (KEDB) documentation for operational issues

·         Use command line(OS-shell interface) to monitor/analyze/administer
domain



*Required Skills:*

·         3+ years of experience inTeradata-TPT/BTEQ support and
developmentrole

·         Skilled in assimilating ETL business-requirements(BR),
understanding the underlying data-model, converting BRs to Teradata-ETL
workflow/session/job and implementing the same

·         Should have strong Teradata-SQL writing skills (write various
investigative queries)

·         Experience in
maintaining/versioningTeradata-TPT/BTEQ/TD-Utilities like
TPump/FLoad/MLoad/FExp etc. scripts/application on Linux/Unix servers

·         Good working knowledge of TPT/BTEQ and able to code
TPT/BTEQ-jobs/workflow and integrate with Unix/ Linux shell-scripting

·         Good working knowledge and able to develop, maintain, schedule
Unix/ Linux shell scripting, Unix/ Linux space management related with
TPT/BTEQ Domain

·         Good understanding of LDM/PDM, Normalization and De-normalization
concept; Ability to understand the data model ; Exposure to
Enterprise-DWenvironment (Knowledge of ETL/DI/BI Reporting)

·         Goodunderstanding of Teradata-database systems, Teradata
database-administration operations. Possess skills in
database-administration operations

·         Well conversant with usage of ticketing system(s) and concept
ofchange-request/ incidents/ service-requests/ problem-records

·         Basic Unix/Linux shell script maintenance and hands-on experience
of OS-command usage

·         Able to function well in a fast-paced and adaptive environment

·         Must be ready to work in a 24 X 7 operations/productionsupport
SLA based environment, with on-shift & on-call model, involving handling of
critical tickets(P1/P2)

·         Good writing & verbal communication skills using English as a
language and should be able to express thoughts, technical-topics in clear
& concise manner



*Preferred:*

·         Experience of and desirability to support data-integration
applications like Informatica, Talend, Microsoft-SSIS and
Master-Data-Management application like Teradata-MDM applicationis highly
desirable and will be appreciated
