Sponsorship is not available.* *JOB SUMMARY:* · *An Application Build Engineer works under general supervision to support builds and deployments for projects during the development phase. Supports dev/test, QA and Production environments. * · *Works to create continuous software builds as required by the Development and QA testing teams. * · *Proactively identifies procedures to streamline and automate the build/deployment process and implements new processes/tools to automate release scripts for all environments.* *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:* • *Manages code repository by maintaining code repository in TFS, performs and administers database baseline, improves practices of branching and code merge, establishes process control points and configures TFS reporting suite to custom needs of development team.* • *Demonstrates experience in using tools to integrate software development best practices such as static code analysis, automated unit tests, integration tests, code coverage analyzers, creation of sand-box systems, etc.* • *Demonstrates experience with software build tools (TFS/Octopus) and continuous integration tools.* • *Works closely with developers, database administrators, Infrastructure engineers, IT business analysts, technical support teams and customers to review build related problems and resolve.* *• Participates in all phases of the development and implementation process, and may act as a project manager on special projects.* • *Ensures the integration of all infrastructure servers and all other supporting/monitoring systems as part of software deployments.* • *Performs work that is complex and varied in nature.* • *Builds trust-based relationships through effective communications.* • *May perform role of lead engineer and coordinate, consolidate and report input and estimates from other project team members.* • *May participate in high profile production issues as part of an Emergency Response Team.* • *Performs special projects and additional duties and responsibilities as required.* • *Where applicable and when performing the responsibilities of the job, employees are accountable to maintain Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and adhere to internal control policies and procedures.* *EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* • *Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or equivalent.* • *Three years of configuration management and engineering for large scale websites/web based applications, ideally supporting an agile development process.* *• Five years of experience in developing setup, with minimum of three years of experience working with Microsoft .Net Technologies using VB.NET <http://VB.NET> or C#; experience with TFS and Octopus Deploy a plus.* *• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or similar is a plus.* *• Banking environment experience is a plus.* *KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:* • *Experience of working with code repositories like TFS (or similar) and automation of configuration management tasks.* • *Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SSL, Web Services and Information Security.* • *Computer literate with a proficiency in Microsoft office products and Desktop Windows Operating Systems.* • *Strong team player; able to motivate others to work in a team environment.* • *Strong verbal and written communication skills, good negotiation skills.* • *Detail oriented.
