Years of experience: 3-5 years Required Skills: SR level UNIX System Admin skills required in regard to AIX and HP-UX platforms. Clustering and virtualization technologies highly desired. Candidate should have experience in a large, complex environment. Needed soft skills include ability to work with other technical teams to implement the best technical solutions, good project management skills, and superior customer service skills Soft Skills Needed Ability to work with project teams, engineering, and developers to ensure successful project implementation. Good project management and superior customer service skills with effective verbal and written skills. Project Description/Daily Assignment Detailed Description of Daily Assignment: A single project with two simultaneous phases; refreshing outdated AIX and HP-UX hosts and decommission outdated/obsolete server hosts. Each phase requiring extensive communication with other teams. Each requires identifying opportunities, communicating and negotiating with external teams and executing either upgrading hosts and/or decommission them.
