SQL System Administrator Required Skills: Primary Skills: - BA/BS Degree, with 2 years relevant experience or 6 plus years of relevant system and SQL database administration experience. - Demonstrated experience in data retrieval through queries and stored procedures - Knowledge of ITIL best practices - SLA Management - Demonstrated ability to execute procedures to achieve pre-determined performance objectives. - Proficient with helpdesk procedures, ticket resolution, and use of industry standard troubleshooting tools - Demonstrated use of Alloy Navigator or similar service management/ ticketing system - Analytical and troubleshooting skills - Ability to learn quickly - Good communication skills -- both written and oral - Good phone manners and customer support voice and attitude - Team player - Organized and detail oriented - Ability to understand technical/complicated issues and explain them at a level that does not require the technical knowledge - Ability to multi-task - Ability to work well under pressure - Self-motivated and ability to work with little supervision - Good time management skills - Flexibility - Good overall technical knowledge in windows, databases, networking, Linux, etc. (not expected to be the technical expert or top administrator, but expected to have enough knowledge to assist with troubleshooting, coordination, ensuring the big picture isn't lost, and explanation to the customer) Secondary skills: - One or more of the following certifications: MCDBA, MCTS specializing in SQL - ITIL Foundation Certification - Ability to provide training to small groups of users Thank you, DBA FYI Center http://dba.fyicenter.com/ --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "oracleguru" group.
