*Job Description:*
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, enhance, and test Java programs used in integrating
Remedy ARS applications with other systems.
- Analyze requirements and create technical specifications for customized
data warehouse management tool.
- Design and enhance JSP pages to integrate with Crystal Enterprise, or
Remedy ARS.
- Design process flow for generation and validation of data.
- Enforce quality and validity of data affected by Java programs via
database packages.
- Troubleshoot data, application and connectivity issues related to Java
programs' functionality.
- Assist with report development, and data analysis from time to time.
- Perform web service development and XML parsing
- Administer JBoss, Tomcat and Apache servers
Deliverables:
- J2EE programs for the business requirements.
- Integration of 3rd party tools with Remedy JAVA API
- Statistical reports using Oracle HTML packages or JSP.
- Documentation of requirement, technical specification, design, QA plan,
and product data accuracy and performance benchmark
Must Have Qualifications:
- 6+ years of in-depth work experience in Java development, and
object-oriented design & programming.
- Strong experience with JSP, JDBC, JDOM, JAXP, XML, XSD, Xerces, & SAX.
- Also must have Perl experience.
Experience in:
- Languages: JAVA, C, C++, Perl.
- Platform: Solaris, Windows 2000.
- Minimal UNIX commands for configuration of development and production
environment.
- Configuring Apache/Tomcat.
- Database experience with Oracle 10G – RDBMS, PL/SQL, data warehouse
maintenance/operations, ETL process, validation & database performance
fine-tuning.
- Application Server: JBOSS, Apache Tomcat
- Web: VBScript, JavaScript, ASP/JSP, DHTML,
Working Knowledge of:
- Web service, SOAP., XML
- Database design.
- Data/system integration technology.
- Must have excellent analytical, and oral and written communications
skills.
- Must be organized and a team player.
- Quick learner & able to multi-task.
Additional Requirements;
- Telecommunications and/or Wireless experience is preferred.
- Must be comfortable as a self-starter in a dynamic technical
environment
- Stay updated on technological advances in Java, and database.
- Openness to change and ability to adapt in a fast moving environment.
- Some experience with writing technical documentation a plus.
