Here is the job description: Title: QA Specialist Location: Lake Success, NY Duration: 5 months Desired Start Date: April 1, 2009 *Rate: $25/hr on C2C all inc* Job Description: Data and content validation QA specialists with experience in performing data validation at an enterprise level. Description The QA Specialist will join a newly formed QA team tasked with performing data validation. This person will help verify the integrity of the data mapping script by validating that data appears as expected. The QA specialist will browse through a list of predefined pages and products, compare new vs. old in the browser, and note any discrepancies in a defect tracking system. The contract duration is estimated to start April 1, 2009 and end June 19, 2009. Responsibilities will be responsible for validating data across various different browsers and platforms o Experience with QA tools including bug/defect tracking systems; test management software such as HP Quality Center (formally HP Test Director) and Mercury Quality Center. Ability to provide accurate project/task effort estimates. Liaison with development, project management, and customer support for test and QA related functions. Ability to understand and create test plans from specifications or verbal communications. Ability to work autonomously in day-to-day testing of large scale web applications. Ability to meet daily/weekly/monthly assigned targets/deliverables. Should be able to accurately identify positive and negative tests. Must be able to maintain an issue log and effectively communicate issues to the various coordinators. Experience using multiple web browsers (Mac experience desirable). Must be extremely detail orientated.
