Here is the job description: Title: Hardware Platform Architect Location: Piscataway, NJ Start date: 12 months *Detailed Job Description:* * * This senior level computing platform position will provide architect-level leadership for the product development team in the following areas: - Specify computing hardware configurations in support of highly available computing architectures with very competitive price/performance targets - Specify the characteristics of and provide support for the deployment and operation of the IP networks required for production environments - Support the product development and test teams in the areas of computing hardware, IP networking, Unix (AIX) operating system issues and general distributed computing issues - Provide support to the customer base in both pre- and post-sales scenarios - Provide support to the internal business team in their bid and proposal activities - Provide ad-hoc security analysis of the product and deployment environments and work to remedy or reduce risks as required - Develop and/or review system requirements, feature/detail designs and test documents - Develop and provide customer presentations as needed - Provide field support (analyze & resolve issues) - Work with current and prospective vendors on current technical issues and to interlock roadmaps for future development *Skill Sets / Qualifications:* The candidate must have a very strong technical background with emphasis on highly available, near real-time systems and the ability to work on highly complex software system.
