*Title:* Software Quality Assurance Analyst *Location:* Milwaukee, WI area *Duration:* 8 Months *Interview Process: phone screen then in person* Software Quality Assurance Analyst with particular skills in Performance Testing using *Visual Studio Team System 2008 Team Suite (VSTS)* (MUST be expert and have *3 years with this tool*). *Candidates with less have been rejected*. Client is looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer who will work in an extremely fast paced and agile environment and play a pivotal role in ensuring our platform can scale to our peak loads and keep pace with projected transaction growth. This position will work with a cross-functional team in testing for high performance, architecturally sound, scalable systems that align with our business needs. They should be able to partner with the technical design team to understand performance risks in a distributed environment and design test scenarios for the same. This position will get daily directions from SQA Manager. They should be hands-on in all aspects of performance testing including writing test scripts, execution, and reporting, as well as perform task-planning through collaboration with the SQA Manager. Candidates must have the ability and interest to work with different types of technologies and business processes. This position will also be involved in manual testing to assist the SQA team during execution phase of releases. *Required Experience:* * 5+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience with 2+ year experience in design and implementation of performance testing solutions in distributed software systems for high transaction volumes (>1M/day). * 3+ years of design and implementation of performance tests using *MS VSTS supporting a SOA based Microsoft .NET/C# and SQL Server platform*. More experience is preferred. * Strong understanding of and proven experience with HP MS VSTS performance test suite. * Strong understanding of system performance characteristics, points of measurement and key indicators of large scale, heterogeneous distributed system environments. * Knowledge of performance engineering concepts including but not limited to performance modeling and simulation methodologies and techniques. * Knowledge of *software development technologies including ASP.Net/C#, ASP/VBScript, XML, SQL, Java and OO concepts*. * The selected candidate will pride themselves in being accountable, take ownership of their goals and work plan, work collaboratively and proactively to avoid and close outstanding issues, and establishes a high level of credibility with others in the organization. * BE/BTech/BS in Computer science or related field is preferred; comparative professional tenure and proven work product will be considered. *Preferred Experience:* * Experience in working with offshore development teams is a plus. * Experience in healthcare or insurance systems is preferred.
