Required Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in Information Technology
· Strong understanding and extensive experience in Data Conversion
principles and concepts.
· Have created functional and technical designs.
· Built and tested the data conversion solutions from Oracle 9.2.0.8
version to Oracle 10.x version.
· Strong knowledge and experience in the use of an ETL tool.
· Oracle RDBMS; specifically SQL with experience with SQL scripting
for extract, transform & load
· Weblogic 10gR3 with strong background in transforming data into
XML, JMS and Web Services.
· Experience with Java MQ Series integration.
· Ability to teach and mentor a junior data analyst.
· Ability to work independently with an integrated project team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- *Highly Desired:*
- Experience with conversion of Ventyx 8.1.
- Experience with Advantex 5.x.
The data conversion work is to develop functional and technical design
documents, build, and test the data conversion solution. The data will be
converted from Oracle 9.2.0.8 version to Oracle 10.x version.
The project design phase is scheduled to start on April 1, 2009; therefore
the ideal candidate should be able to start at this time. The conversion
work is targeted to be completed by Q1 2010.
The candidate may be asked to provide guidance to a junior data analyst and
to work independently with an integrated project team. A strong background
in transforming data into XML and use of Web Services is desired.
Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA
Start Date: On or around April 1st
End Date: 9 months [extensions possible as well]
