Rational: Rational QA Tester
Location: Germantown, MD.
Duration: 3 + Months
*Interview on Tuesday March 31st, 2009. They will be phone screens at first
and then a face to face interview. *
Client, one of the area's premier government solutions providers that excels
in delivering best-of-class technology solutions to federal, state and
municipal governments and businesses is seeking an Automated Tester to -
Develop and maintain appropriate Automation test plans for functional
testing various CSB releases
· Proficient in Rational Function Tester (v7) and Java
· Experience in automated testing with Legacy application
· Write testing scripts for and Perform and document results of the
following tests on each new/updated screen and their associated components
· Functionality Testing
· Unit Testing
· Regression Testing
· Concurrency Testing
· Complete documentation revisions within the agreed upon estimate
· Report status and difficulties weekly
· Communicate with the project team daily regarding any functionality
issues and/or ideas that may positively or negatively impact the deliverable
as a whole
· Work with Stakeholders regarding functional and non functional
requirements
· Follow the issue management process to ensure early escalation of
stalled or disputed issues.
· Complete assigned test scripts and testing within the agreed upon
estimate
· Identify, select, and implement all testing tools as required in
support of testing
· Execute Functional and Performance test as required by the release and
document the results and be able to present it to FSA
· Design, develop, and implement manual and automated processes
necessary to scrub dirty data as part of the testing process.
· Determine and report accurate status of testing across all releases.
· Identify and manage testing issues and risks. Ensure that all issues
and risks are addressed correctly in a timely manner.
· Participate in risk review meetings.
· Ensure that contingency plans are documented and tested in the CSB
Project Work Plan and that risks are identified with probability and
severity ratings.
· Follow the issue management process to ensure early escalation of
stalled or disputed issues.
· Participate in daily schedule management meetings and provide
measurable progress reports in accordance with agenda guidance from
· Ensure that each team member acknowledges detailed roles,
responsibilities, and deliverables in accordance with the CSB Project Work
Plan.
· Develop demonstrable and repeatable assertions relating to the
verification of the testing data.
· Work with requirements and business operations teams to ensure that
all requirements associated with testing are documented and that tasks
associated
with testing and verification are identified and scheduled.
· Work with database support and infrastructure teams to ensure
availability of appropriate testing databases and environments.
