*Program Advisor - Strategic Planning and Implementation Team* *Required Technical Skills* Miinimum 8 years in following skills: • Establishing, maintaining, and leading a Program Management Office • Providing coaching, consulting, training, and SME support • Developing or enhancing processes including methodology, standards, policy, templates, samples, and tools • Management of all phases of large programs/projects with special emphasis on strategic initiatives. Including the following activities: Scoping, Estimating, Planning, and Scheduling • Management of Risks/Issues/Change Control, Communication, Finances, and Procurement • Delivery and management of program/project tools and processes • Ability to produce professional reports and present to senior-level executives including program/project status, dashboards, and financial data • Ability to research and recommend alternative actions for problem resolution • MS Project • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) *Required Non Technical Skills* *Minimum of 8 years experience and all the following skills*:** • Self-directed and self-motivated with a demonstrated work ethic and ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines • Outstanding attention to detail and high personal quality expectations • Experience working through all phases of the System Development Life Cycle • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with program management and interpersonal communication abilities • Ability to work well with Customers at all levels (Leadership and Non-Leadership). • Ability and willingness to mentor others • Demonstrated ability to work within an established timeframe to complete tasks • Strong organizational skills • Ability to work well in a Team environment *Nice to have Technical Skills* •MBA or MS is preferred •PMP or ITIL certification is preferred *Nice to have non technical Skills* • Knowledge of the Airline Industry *Job Responsibilities* * Maintain, advance, and support Southwest's overarching portfolio/program/project management practices and governance as a company. * Develop methods to better align opportunities to corporate strategy, monitor results, and drive accountability of deliverable benefits. * Improve program and project velocity and quality * Ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives in required timelines * Enable predictable and reliable program and project results * Provide effective communication at all levels of the organization to support enterprise adoption. * Provide mentoring/training for program leaders and program participants. This Team is an internal consulting organization who interacts with Senior Executives throughout the organization to drive strategic change initiatives. Assist Executive Management with prioritization of project portfolio and demonstrate linkage to corporate strategy. Engage with Executive Management to ensure that only those projects relative to achieving the strategic goals are built into the plan. Build the framework for the Company's strategic planning, portfolio management, and program management processes. Develop a clear and concise strategic planning framework that aligns long-range planning with AOP and annual Performance Objectives. Leads analyses of strategic fit and value of opportunity. Shapes new platforms, identifying capabilities to be assembled for sustained long-term strategic growth Initiates the research, analysis, development of conclusions and presentation of findings to senior management for discussion and evaluation. Evaluates and conducts studies, due diligence, financial modeling and scenario analysis to obtain appropriate levels of information and data from both internal and external sources to support business development opportunities.
