Database Designer Summary: Design, develop, implement and optimize data models and database schemata Description: You will design and develop data models for complex biological databases and implement them on relational database management systems. You will optimize, extend, integrate, document and manage existing database schemata and develop efficient queries. You will also act as resident specialist of database development and guide other members of the development team. Required: You are have successfully developed, deployed and maintained large database schemata. You are strong in requirement analysis, development of specifications and communication. You have three or more years of hands-on technical experience in relational databases, especially Oracle, MS-SQL server. You are a guru in SQL queries and query optimization. You have enthusiasm for solving interesting problems and love your work. Your English, spoken and written, is excellent. Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL is a plus. Experience in data warehousing and data mart technologies is a plus. DBA experience in Oracle is a plus.
