The person they bring in for this role will first be converting document templates to the new platform using an Open XML format and once that conversion is done, they’ll be developing SQL queries for SSRS reporting which will come from reviewing existing reports that are to be consolidated and re-written against new data structures. It’s pretty basic work, but they’ll need to have a couple years of experience as a SQL developer, and at least a year or so working with SQL Plus, SQL Server Management Studio, and SSRS.
