*ETL Developer* *Location:* Deerfield, IL *Duration:* 4-6+ Months *MOI :* Phone and In-Person *Notes from manager discussion:* -They need ETL Testing experience/data validation -They should have knowledge of Oracle, SQL -He would rather see someone with Salesforce and Cognos experience rather than someone with pharma. If they have all of the above even better! (The PM he just brought on came from CVS and he himself came from Abbott) *Scope of Project:* There will be a lot of executive level eyes on this project as it services many areas of the business. What they will be doing is integrating multiple systems to be able to capture the data (on prescriptions) and calculate the commission for the sales reps that work for Baxter. Along with that they will be using the data to identify what locations (zip codes), vendors (walgreens/CVS), and doctors are using the products the most/least so they can adjust their marketing plan accordingly. They will be doing this integration so this data will be captured on a weekly basis. The data will all then be centralized by using cloud solution. You’ll be a key member of the Sales & Marketing systems team, delivering innovative technology solutions within Baxter’s Commercial IT organization. *Description:* Own key tasks, demonstrate solid technical knowledge, require moderate direction, give minimal guidance to others, and handle moderately complex problems Gather, understand and document data and technical specifications and requirements for enhancements and projects Develop and support data and system architecture from design through deployment Architect/design/develop ETL components, e.g. data acquisition, cleansing, standardization, validation, staging and database persistence using DataStage or other ETL tools. Perform tuning & optimization of ETL processes & other stored procedures in databases Execute system design and development activities within projects Develop and execute unit/system test cases, scripts and plans Define and articulate data rules required for data accuracy and consistency. Identify and resolve data quality issues Provide end-user support on applications and databases supported within the organization Identify, analyze, propose and document appropriate solutions for business opportunities, problems and issues Identify and understand issues that may impact day-to-day operations and/or project costs. Use technical tools for (queries, process maps, etc.) for problem resolution Understand and follow appropriate SDLC, quality validation processes and application development processes Communicate status, solutions and concerns. Disseminate information in a timely manner within the team and across functions or teams Provide cross-functional technical knowledge to develop business system and process alternatives *Requirements:* 5+ years as ETL/data architect with responsibility/ownership for Data Integration transformation design and implementation w/hands on experience developing ETL processes using DataStage against Oracle relational databases 5+ years data warehousing, working on data integration components 5+ years in applying information systems solutions to business problems Working knowledge of Oracle, SQL, Datastage, Cast Iron, SFDC (salesforce.com) - CRM Experience in data management and design/architecture concepts across applications Database development or design experience: architecture, modeling or design (Star schema, big data, SQL, Datastage, Oracle) Experience with design utilizing integration standards such as loading, real time/batch, CDC, data validation, parallelization etc. Strong ETL testing experience and verification utilizing SQL querying skills (PL/SQL, Toad or other tool) and formal testing methodologies.
