The Job Description is as follows: Job Title : (J2SE) Java developer Location : Lexington, MA(Massachusetts) Duration : 6+ Month Start Date : Immediate Required Skills: *Developer for AD synchronization project* Require a strong core *(J2SE) Java developer *to work on development projects aimed at furthering the level of integration between clients Manager and various LDAP directories. For example, one project will be to sycnhronize user data in client's Role-Based Access Control system with users and group memberships registered in LDAP directories, including Active Directory. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years software development experience, a minimum of 2 years of java development experience and have worked on several relatively large (6 to 12 month) projects. Candidates must be familiar with commonly used Java design patterns. Candidates must have worked with LDAP, Active Directory and JNDI. Candidates must have good communications (written and verbal) skills. C/C++ skills are a plus. *Job Responsibilities* • Develops and tests product code according to client quality standards • Maintains knowledge of product environments and applicable software technologies • Provides complete documentation in the form of commented code, problem status information, and design documents • Performs thorough problem analysis that results in resolution of product-related problems according to BMC support standards • Carries out thorough unit testing; supports systems and integration testing as required to provide a quality product • Assists in marketing of client products as required by PM&D management • Provides input to the Technical Writers for all product documentation • Defines the functional specification of program modules ensuring functionality, quality and ease of maintainability • Accurately estimates the size and scope of the development effort as measured by the product delivery schedule *Skills* 3-5 years in a similar role Bachelor’s Degree Minimum of 2+ years experience in programming software for operating systems, utilizing machine assembly and/or high-level languages, and knowledge of software capabilities Physical Requirements: Light physical exertion, routine bending and lifting may be required.
