*Location: *Downers Grove, IL *Duration: *3 Months, with high potential to extend through the end of 2010 ** *Detailed Job Description: * Aside from a strong working knowledge of Cognos 8.x platform, the ideal candidate must provided demonstrative work samples for the following: · Architecture - plan and create high level design document for business intelligence reporting and analysis capabilities. · Creating and maintaining Information Delivery standards to ensure consistent information delivery methods across projects. · Recommend and assess BI tools. That includes providing expertise, process and documents to perform an assessment and evaluate vendors and their tools. Key job responsibilities include: · Provide best practices and standards for implementation of a BI environment. · Provide leadership, recommendations, and support to build the BI architecture and environment. · Document and assess - current and future technical Business Intelligence and Information Delivery environments. · Document client server architecture layers, hardware, software components, network connectivity, security, and user access. · Be the “Software Expert” for chosen Information Delivery tools. · Educates the user community in the use of chosen Information Delivery tools. · Setting or enforcing Information Delivery standards and architecture for the project. · Select appropriate Information Delivery tools and techniques. · Design the Information Delivery application architecture based on the documented requirements. · If the warehouse has multiple Information Delivery tools, determine the most appropriate for each requirement and ensure consistent application of business rules. · Assist in the development of the Information Delivery applications and lead the Information Delivery development teams. -- Thanks & Regards, Abhi [email protected]--
