Duration: 6 months but may go longer.
The Performance Tester will need to participate in Test Planning activities
and develop the test design. They will evaluate the non-functional
requirements for testability and participate in the review of the technical
acceptance criteria. They develop the test scenarios and test cases for
verifying that the "system is built right". Usually considered a technical
expert in their field, they focus on testing of Performance, Load and
Capacity, Networks and Infrastructure.
The Performance Tester will be asked to work a wide range of performance
test opportunities across multiple factories. The candidate will work on a
single or multiple projects. The Test Capability requires a fully flexible
individual in both their approach to work and its execution.
Successful candidates need to have proven performance testing experience,
including volume testing, load testing, stress testing and reliability
testing. There must be a demonstration of a full and grounded understanding
of performance testing approaches, methods and technologies. Candidates must
have experience of defect management processes, and understanding of best
practices in testing and the ability to suggest ways forward following
outcomes of performance testing.
Candidates must also possess excellent customer facing skills.
