Application Penetration Tester/Security Engineer. Location: PA. Long term assignment Rate: OPEN Required Skills sets 1) Technical Skills a. Application tester (AVA,ASR) (Penetration Testing) b. Web Development background c. SQL fundamentals d. Familiarity with tools but not limited to: Nessus Nmap WebInspect Appscan enVision Bluecoat Tumbleweed PGP Universal e. Intrusion Detection Deployment and Management f. Cloud Computing and Virtualization g. Firewall administration certifications a plus 2) Certifications a. CISSP Additional Requirements : a. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or Computer Science required b. 8+ Years experience Additional Information: The Sr. Security Engineer must be very strong in the areas of network and application security. Hands on experience is a must. Must be able to defend a security position with facts when challenged and present ideas and positions written and orally in a clear and concise manner. Please remember that this customer is a very technical organization. Challenging a position is common practice here and is done to ensure the organization is doing the right things at the right time for the right reasons. Also note, our CIO is very, very technical and will require a defensible position backed with facts for anything recommended. We have an initial list of opportunities for this individual to focus on once onsite. The short list includes, Secure Coding Standards, Web Environment Monitoring (Web Applicaton Firewalls; Corrillian), Quarterly Firewall Compliance Checking (1st quarter has already been completed), Cloud Computing position including security requirements, Virtualization position including requirements for securing server and desktop virtualization, Data Loss Prevention tools experience (our tool set includes enVision, Bluecoat, Tumbleweed, PGP Universal). The following are considered minimal qualifications for all consulting roles: A minimum 4-year degree in Computer Science or related field or work experience equivalent, Past consulting experience as the individual will often be acting in a consulting role and as a technical advisor, The ability to articulate solutions to such diverse constituencies as project managers, clients, business stakeholders and engineers, and to coordinate (with both project management and engineering) major systems events such as application upgrades, launches, load tests and deployments, A willingness to learn new technologies and their applications in the enterprise, The ability to quickly understand and be able to articulate business impacts of technical decisions and drive solutions to specific business problems through the effective use of technology.
