Did you write your own JavaScript framework before the likes of Dojo, Prototype, and YUI took center stage? Do you relish in the intricacies of runtime DOM and CSS manipulation to achieve just the right UI effect? Do you live and breathe asynchronously? If you answered yes to most of the above, then this job is for you. The candidate will be working on maintaining and extending a JavaScript/JSP-Tag framework used extensively inside. Candidate will also work on creating different Proof of Concepts (POCs) and prototypes for future direction, and helping translate the end product of those POCs into production-ready and stable code. The candidate will also provide production support, defect fixing and other related maintenance tasks to the framework. * Required Experience* - 2+ years of experience with object-oriented programming in JavaScript - Experience with AJAX and JavaScript frameworks like YUI, Ext JS, jQuery, Dojo or Prototype - we need experience, not merely used it - if you have contributed to any of these frameworks, it is a big plus - Proficiency with CSS and X/HTML and how to integrate in a standards-based fashion with each other and JavaScript - Proficiency with the DOM and event programming model - Experience with cross-platform cross-browser development - Experience with JSON and XML - Understanding of the full software development life cycle - Understanding and experience implementing Web accessibility standards (WAI-ARIA) preferred - Experience developing (not merely using) JSP Tags preferred - Web 2.0 Mashup experience preferred - Understanding of source code repositories and the idioms associated with them - Subversion and ClearCase is preferable but other repositories - such as CVS, etc. - are applicable. - Server-side development background with JEE or .NET preferred - Familiarity with design patterns, particularly Web 2.0 Model-View-Controller (MVC) preferred * Required Skills* - JavaScript - RIA - Rich Internet Application - AJAX -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle Developers" group.
