Description* *Specific Functions for Acceptance-Production Database Administrators* *Washington DC, 6 Months * *Openings ::: 3 Positions*** - Ensure seamless production support, optimal performance, and high level of data integrity in the Data Mart - Proactively manage scalability requirements ensuring optimal performance as the data continues to grow in the VLDB environments - Monitor database utilization - Provide data refreshes as needed - Work with TIO and DTO Infrastructure partners in the testing and implementation of database infrastructure releases - Ensure the performance optimization of all business processes across the Acceptance, Integrated Acceptance and Production environments - Plan and manage for capacity of multi-terabytes of data for multiple environments across the Data Mart - Consult across multiple functions including architecture, performance and tuning, data replication, methodology, tools and techniques - Build-out development and support of Integrated Acceptance test (iUAT) and (UAT) User acceptance test environments - Eliminate environmental risks and provide safe storage and retrieval of vital Fannie Mae data and continued support of SOX controls/Logging and Monitoring - Develop and maintain utilities to automate problem determination, change implementation, and monitoring activities - Implement best practices and corporate standards in maintaining the database for end user and developer access - Effectively communicates and provides leadership across development and business partners - Evaluate, recommend and apply tools and techniques appropriate to the project need and influence development effort(s) based on sound information management principles and standards - Operates independently and has the ability to implement complex ideas and concepts. - Strong negotiation, diplomacy, and presentation skills.
