Job Function IT Professional / QA/TESTER
Description QA MAnager will.....

- Work closely with the business analysis and project management groups to
understand the vision, goals, and objectives for the future product
development and new system functionality
- Understand current system functionality and underlying business processes
- Convert business use cases, business/functional requirements and
application specifications into testing plans and cases
- Introduce best practices for automated testing and test coverage analysis
- Define the required test environments and develop test beds.
- Work with the business team to validate test coverage and expected
results. Obtain sign-off on test results from the business team prior to
implementation
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with internal and external users
- Run regular defect meetings
- Provide detailed testing metrics
- Coordinate testing with the Development, Business Analysis, and Release
Management teams

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Organizing a QA group for the project and participate in setting standards
and procedures required to support application development cycle
- Educating the project team on best practices and standards for Quality
Assurance and Testing
- Establishing Testing documentation standards and templates
- Reviewing and improving development and testing procedures
- Understanding and researching questions about system data and providing
test support
- Participate in analysis and evaluation of present or proposed SDLC
procedures
- Setting up testing environments in Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation
Server environment
- Setting up and utilizing automated and manual testing tools and procedures

Qualifications
* *
- Prior experience working/leading a QA team utilizing an systems
development lifecycle for a web based system
- Extensive (5+ years) prior Software Quality Assurance experience
- Expertise in Microsofts automated testing tools
- Experience with Agile software development methodology
- Experience with service oriented and web based development using .NET
framework
- Experience with application performance/volume/scalability testing
- Investment business and overall Financial Services industry
experience/knowledge
- Knowledge of a variety of different investment products (equities, mutual
funds, fixed income instruments, etc.)
- Experience writing queries using SQL and data analysis
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities with minimum supervision
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Self-starter and detail oriented
- Business Analysis and/or Project Management experience is a plus
