: Sr. Oracle Database Developer with strong PL/SQL skills Project Duration: 9-12 Months Start Date: 02/01/11
We arer looking for an Oracle Developer with strong database design and tuning skills. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10 years’ experience with Oracle database and system level tuning, including experience with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) and Grid Infrastructure. Core Requirements: • Minimum of 10 years’ experience designing and tuning Oracle database systems (includes experience with Oracle 10g or 11g and Oracle RAC). • Must be able to performance tune PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, triggers, queries or other database objects utilizing all means necessary (indexes, partitioning, database hints, etc). • An understanding of Linux or UNIX operating systems at a systems administration level. • Strong shell scripting and PL/SQL tuning skills. • Excellent planning, problem solving and troubleshooting skills. • Coordinate administrative tasks with DBAs such as; creating/ rebuilding indexes, adding partitions, analyzing tables, etc. • Ability to collect, analyze data and present solutions that allow for future capacity growth and performance scalability. • Requires a resource who can work with both the business owners and technical owners of a project/application in a team environment. • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Experience and Knowledge Required: • Degree in Computer Science or related field • Experience implementing and tuning Oracle Real Application Clusters • Knowledge of current web technologies (JAVA, ASP.NET, VB.NET, AJAX). • 8-10 years of software development/implementation experience. • 5-6 years of strong PL/SQL and shell script (Korn shell) development with Oracle 10g databases. • Ability to write/debug complex SQL statements with experience in SQL performance tuning. • Experience in J2EE (EJB, Servlet & JSP) and Java technologies is a big plus. • Experience working with large scale (multi-terabyte) storage environments a plus.
