*Position-.Net Developer Location- Austin, TX Duration- Contract through 12/31/11 Pay Rate- $35 to 37/hr Work Status- Open to H1s Technologies-.NET, C#, T-SQL, WCF, AJAX, Web Services, SOAP, REST, SQL Server Project Role- Researches, designs, and writes software based on Microsoft technologies (.Net, C#, Silverlight) to specifications, either individually or leading a team of other developers. Develops high availability and highly scalable applications which will be hosted on Dell.com and also will be used by offline sales teams. Works with clients and Business Analysts to determine software requirements and system impacts Generates technical documentation as well as unit and functional tests Mentors junior developers in industry best practices, procedures, and concepts Investigates new technologies and techniques and researches ongoing industry developments Works closely with the Global Solution Architecture team, other senior Solution Architects and the executives within the Enterprise Architecture group to plan ongoing feature development, product maintenance, and management of development teams Required skills-- Engineering Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience A minimum of 8-10 total years of software development experience, with at least 5 years designing enterprise-scale architecture Expertise in most of the following - .Net Framework, C#, Transact Sql, Web Services, Ajax, JavaScript, JSON, SOAP, REST. Strong knowledge of distributed communication systems such as Windows Communication Foundation (WCF). Microsoft SQL Server database. Performance tuning experience is must. Project and task oriented with a focus on details.
