LOCATION: NYC DURATION: 6 months + Department Overview Reference Data IT is responsible for data sourcing, maintenance and distribution systems supporting product, price, counterparty and instruction data to multiple business streams. Main Function The candidate will be part of a team working on enhancements to our Document Tracking application. The firm's document tracking system is the repository for a wide range of transactional, regulatory and tax related documents. The tracking system also has a surveillance functionality built to meet the firm's compliance and regulatory requirements in addition to being the primary source for Tax withholding codes and documents. A separate document manager system is primary entry point for document information into the tracking system. The document manager allows attribution of scanned, faxed and imported documents to account and client records. The document tracking system is built on a Weblogic MVC 3 tier Struts based architecture and the document manager is built on 2 Tier architecture using VB and Sybase. Main Duties • Conduct analysis as directed. • Document Unit Test Scripts for the functions that they are assigned to code. • Code changes from a technical spec. • Conduct unit tests, document results and retain test evidence. • Support System Integration Testing as directed. Person Requirements Required Skills: • Must have at least 6 years experience in a development capacity in J2EE/Java/Sybase environment. • Must have very strong Sybase RDBMS knowledge to understand and create and enhance stored procedures. • Strong proficiency in J2EE in a Weblogic 8.2 + environment. • Experience with Struts MVC framework. • Processing XML messages using JMS in a MQ or Tibco environment. • Excellent research and problem solving skills. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Experience using source control systems. Preferred Skills: • A background in C# and VB.Net is strong plus to enhance parts of the document manager. • Development background in back office environment with particular emphasis on reference data (Client, Account). • Experience working with document management systems. • Shell /Perl Scripting in a UNIX environment is helpful -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle Developers" group.
