Title: Websphere Administrator Contract Duration: 3+ months to start Location: Boston, MA. Minimum Requirements: Proficient knowledge of WebSphere Application Server Proficient knowledge of Installing, configuring, administering, performance tuning, monitoring and trouble-shooting WebSphere Application Server Proficient experience with supporting COTS applications with front-end running in WebSphere Application Server Proficient knowledge of WebSphere in horizontal/vertical clustering and highly available and load balanced environments. Demonstrated experience using monitoring tools to troubleshoot performance issues with WebSphere Application Server Strong interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences at various levels within the organization Experience with supporting WebSphere on Windows preferred Experience with IBM’s Tivoli Service Request Management preferred Integrations with Tivoli TADDM and other discovery or monitoring tools preferred CMDB design and or implementation preferred Strong knowledge of Oracle databases, including excellent SQL skills, stored procedures, backup/restore, import/export, and modification of database settings preferred Knowledge of J2EE Application Standards preferred Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Standards preferred Description: The Websphere Middleware Administrator will act as a technical administrator for the client's installation of IBM’s Tivoli Service Request Management (TSRM) toolset to support ITIL processes across the organizations enterprise wide system. The incumbent is responsible for the administration of this WebSphere based application. In addition, the incumbent will exercise independent judgment in interpretation and/or development of new guidelines and procedures. Candidates should have strong experience supporting Tivoli Service Request Manager on a Websphere Application Server.
