Position: Java Developer Location: Alexandria, VA Duration: 3 months Rate: $50/hr *Job Description* Qualified JAVA developer MID level to support a systems development and maintenance program. Work Location: Alexandria, VA. Must possess US Citizenship or Green Card. Must be able to pass a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) *Qualifications* · Real-world experience in coding enterprise software applications using Java / J2EE technologies such as JSP, HTML, Java Script, Hibernate, Spring and Struts. · Exposure to at least one major database vendor (DB2, Oracle, Sybase, SQLServer, MySQL). Oracle experience strongly preferred. · Experienced in constructing simple and complex queries using SQL. · Exposure to at least one or more applications servers - WebSphere, Weblogic, JBoss or Tomcat. · Real-world experience in writing unit tests using JUnit or similar. · Comfortable working with Eclipse or similar IDEs. · Comfortable with basic UNIX commands. · Sound knowledge of Object-oriented programming principles and Model-View-Controller patterns. · Excellent written and oral communication skills in English · Willingness to quickly learn and embrace new technologies and concepts. · Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents highly complex programs. Develops complex test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs. · Designs systems and programs to meet highly complex business needs. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation. · Gathers information from existing systems, analyzes program and time requirements. Prepares time estimates and justifications for assigned tasks and provides recommendations to project managers. · Supports project personnel in resolving fairly complex program problems. Works with client and management to resolve issues and validate programming requirements within their areas of responsibility. Provides technical advice on complex programming. May serve as technical project lead; provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
