The analyst is responsible for translating those needs into Use Cases, Process Diagrams, Functional and Non-Functional Requirements, to communicate to the project stakeholders and the development group the features and functions of the system. Responsibilities: Analyzes the addition of numerous new features and enhancements for existing software products. Creates functional specification documents for proprietary software products using defined standards. Supports requirements from the idea generation stage through full implementation into production. Assists with project planning, the creation of business requirements, and project meetings. Identifies and manages project risk and scope creep, and communicates project status to management. Analyzes and evaluates current business processes and requirements and make recommendations to management for new, more efficient, workflows and processes Interfaces with business users and managers to learn the needs of the various business groups Documents use case scenarios in various functional areas Performs analysis of existing information systems, applications, and processes to evaluate effectiveness and efficiency Interfaces with technical representatives to understand what solutions are possible for current needs and also while implementation of the solutions are underway Experience: Ability to work independently while being an integral part of a team. Strong organizational skills. Proven ability to handle multiple tasks. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to interact with diverse personalities. Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word and Excel. Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university Have at least 3-5 years related business analyst experience in the financial services industry Experience with UML or other process documentation methodologies Highly-developed analytical skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong attention to detail Knowledge of application development methodologies. Knowledge of project management methods.
