Job Title: DATA MODELER Location: Brooklyn, NY Duration: 24+ months of contract Job Description: Under the direction of the Project Manager and Chief Data Architect, serves as the ETL developer using Data Stage and Star Schema data modeler using Erwin. Create the dimensional model and code programs to extract transform and load functions within a DataStage, ESB SOA architecture and Oracle platform. This position requires you to have deep knowledge and experience with using DataStage and loading dimensional marts in a large scale environment. Duties and Responsibilities: ·Program, design, and code in the DataStage ETL Tool ·Develop dimensional models in Erwin .Program in SQL and PL/SQL - Oracle ·Develop and code ETL batch and real time jobs ·Develop all DataStage ETL from Staging to ODS and Master Data databases to Data Marts ·Performance and tuning of DataStage and Oracle ·Test and develop production jobs Minimum Core Competencies: 1.Must be an expert in Data Stage 2.Must be proficient with Erwin and Data Mart design 3.Must have excellent skills as ETL developer (designing and coding) 4.6-8 years of satisfactory full-time programmer analysis experience with at least 5 years as a specialist in Data Stage and ETL development and implementation. 5.A minimum of 5 years of full lifecycle ODS and DW experience in large scale programs 6.Ability to design and code complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL statements 7.Ability to design and load dimensional databases Requirements Skills: ETL developer and coder Data Modeler / Erwin IBM Data Stage designer Oracle and SQL and PL/SQL Knowing the tools will not be enough; must have excellent knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts Performance and tuning optimization of DataStage Jobs and SQL Code Experience: 6-8 years experience including at least 4 enterprise level data solutions. Experience with IBM Datastage, SOA. Deep understanding of relational Oracle DBMS and SQL.
