Job Title: Data Architect Location: Hoffman Estates, IL. Duration: 6+ Months //////// Need US Citizen OR Green Card Only //////// Job Description: The Sr. Data Modeler/ Data Architect provides analytical and design leadership to complex IT&G re-engineering initiatives. This person participates in multiple, technically complex, mission-critical, and/or high-profile data projects. This individual must possess strong data modeling, data analysis and profiling skills. This role must have a passion for understanding data from a variety of source systems, and designing the data for appropriate usage by developers and users.This role provides data modeling, data design, data analysis and profiling expertise for both project and day-to-day support of Enterprise Data Warehousing, Data Marts and future systems. As a result, this role requires a solid understanding of Relational Database Management Systems, ER Data Modeling, Dimensional Data Modeling, Data Architecture and Data Management Principles. This individual needs to be skilled in data profiling and data analysis using tools like Information Analyzer or other profiling tools. This role works closely with operational data analysts, data modelers, and other data knowledge experts in the company. Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent; Master's degree is preferred. 6-9 years - Overall IT experience. 4-5 years of experience with SQL, and data analysis tools. 4-5 years - Data Modeling Experience; Delivering both logical models and physical designs. 3-4 years – Working with a data modeling tool – PowerDesigner or Erwin. 6-9 years - Data Warehouse Methodology: ER, ROLAP, Dimensional Modeling and denormalization. 2-3 years of Metadata management experience.. Additionally: 2-5 years of retail IT experience desired.
