*Essential Functions*
- Functions as the leader of the performance testing effort for
enterprise wide software solutions that have newly developed or redesigned
features
- Collaborates with the feature development leads to develop the
performance requirements and scenarios
- Independently documents and communicates the performance test strategy
to the project team and management
- Independently develops data driven automated test scripts using the
NeoLoad tool
- Executes load and performance tests against web applications, web
services and Oracle databases in a distributed environment
- Establishes successful working and support relationships with
cross-functional managers and staff to support execution of the performance
testing strategy
- Analyzes data gathered from performance tests with a focus on
application performance, availability, and capacity with the goal of
ensuring the optimal user experience
- Independently summarizes and reports findings to a cross functional
team
- Works on multiple performance testing efforts as required
- Mentors a junior associate in execution of performance tests to serve
as a backup resource
- Between performance testing assignments, automates functional
regression tests using Selenium

*Job Requirements :*
*Skills *
• At least 5 years of experience working exclusively as a performance
tester using a gui based performance testing tool with a total of at
least 10 years of testing and/or development experience
• Ability to accurately estimate effort required to develop the strategy,
code scenarios, and execute the tests
• Effective analytical skills to identify scenarios that should be included
within the test
• Ability to use the Neoload tool to develop data driven scripts and to
monitor application performance in a distributed environment
• Awareness of industry of performance standards and the ability to compare
the application under test to these standards. Ability to
analyze test results and determine potential root causes for
performance degradation.
• Knowledge of performance bottlenecks and end-to-end web performance
measures including server response time, throughput, network
latency, etc
• Understanding of web protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, and DNS
• Understanding of networking and web technologies such as HTML,
JavaScript, jsp, asp, Flash, etc.
• Knowledge of web page composition (static vs. dynamic elements, browser
behavior, etc.)
• Experience in data collection and analysis. Ability to clearly and
concisely communicate test results to a cross functional audience
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently to organize and lead a performance testing
effort
• Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly
• Ability to train junior associates in the execution of the performance
tests
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule when required to execute tests in
off business hours or on weekends

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or
equivalent experience
