The SAP Support Consultant will serve a cross functional user base. The Support Consultant will provide process and tool subject matter expertise for the following SAP modules: FICO, P2P, PS and MM. Additionally, the Consultant will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the business. Under general direction, the Consultant will coordinate and deliver solutions for break fix support requests, information requests and service requests related to the solution for system users. Provide insights and expertise in best-case business practice in the area of finance and supply chain management within the industry where the business operates to assist the client in arriving at solutions to finance and supply chain related functional areas. Responsibilities will include; operational support; project work; data management; and support model, method & process. Analyzing and evaluating SAP system processes and user needs. In partnership with the business teams recommend, modify, and implement break fix solutions for issues; Provide insight for reporting and best in class processes Research, develop, and propose both short and long term solutions to SAP system requirements. Support for production cutover activities (data conversions and validation, interim procedures, etc.) Augment training process with additional follow up demonstrations / Q&A sessions or targeted information sessions Provide feedback to project team about local system adoption, issues, and opportunities RESPONSIBILITIES: Understand and coordinate the activities and operations of a highly complex ERP system. Understand and apply the technical elements of schema, SAP data base tables, master data, table maintenance, view maintenance, and security. Interpret and explain local policies and procedures. Work with users in a fast pace environment. Analyze and troubleshoot ERP system problems and recommend appropriate alternatives. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Manage integration points between Finance, Project Systems and MM Provide an understanding of timeline and rapid deployments and manage same Collaborate with clients and identify solutions Travel up to 10-15 % QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ years experience with procure-to-pay process (FICO / MM modules), specifically Procure to pay (P2P) 3-5 years experience with P2P 3+ years experience with SAP Project Systems (PS) module 3-5 years experience with SAP services procurement Experience with SRM preferred but not required Must have strong reporting experience Operational characteristics, services and activities of an ERP system, including application configurations, developing business process specifications, and testing business applications. Advanced principles and practices of systems analysis and design. Principles and practices of effective customer service. Principles and practices necessary for producing effective project documentation, including business functions and technical ERP system processes. Principles and practices of project management including current business systems best practices. Process analysis, design and deployment experience Experience in supporting global users 7 by 24 with application related questions and problems.
