*Location: Georgetown, KY* *Duration: 24 months (ongoing could be 3-4 year project)* *Buying Rate: up to $50/hr * *Must be able to pass a background and a drug screen* *MUST have good communication skills!!* *Client prefers a face to face interview or a SKYPE Interview* *Job Description* This position is responsible for assisting with the design, implementation and on-going support for the UNIX server environment. This includes providing assistance to application teams during system implementation and setup, providing the highest level of UNIX technical support and troubleshooting skills to support new and existing UNIX servers. *Work experience requirements* 1-3 years experience with LINUX Redhat. 1-3 years experience with AIX, HP-UX or Sun Solaris Operating Systems. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP protocol and networking in general (LAN/WAN). Experience with Veritas Volume Manager and Veritas Cluster Server. Experience with load balancing. Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (i.e. Excel, Word) required. Working knowledge with SAN connectivity is required. Working knowledge with expanding and shrinking volume groups is required. Strong verbal and written communications skills are required. 24 x 7 on call support is required. Some weekend work and 5 % travel within a 4 hour radius (Client will pay for all travel costs) *PLUS SKILLS:* Experience with HP MCService Guard is a plus. Experience with Visio is a plus. Experience with systems management tools (Tivoli/MC Service) is a plus.
