Job Title : Oracle DBA

Skill Set:
. Hands-on experience as an oracle DBA, working with Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g.
. Understanding of QUALYS guard tool for vulnerability remediation
. Need to apply CPU/PSU to various versions of oracle databases - rolling
for RAC systems
. Upgrades of databases to 9g, 10g and 11g - Rolling upgrades for RAC
environment is a plus
. Understanding of ARCHER tool to upload evidences against QUALYS items is
also a plus.
. A strong understanding of SOX, PCI and PII audits.
. A strong understanding of Oracle RDBMS concepts and fundamentals.
. Experience with IBM AIX, HP-UX or SUN Solaris UNIX operating systems
. Proven ability in UNIX shell scripting and PL/SQL coding.
. Must be a team player willing to make every effort to make the team a
success.
. Must possess effective verbal and writing skills and strong diagnostic and
problem solving ability
. 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator,
working directly with Oracle 9i,10g and 11g
. A strong understanding of Oracle RDBMS concepts and fundamentals
. A willingness to participate in a 7X24 rotation of the primary pager
support
. Experience with IBM AIX, HP-UX or SUN Solaris UNIX
. Proven ability in UNIX shell scripting and PL/SQL coding
. Must be a team player willing to make every effort to make the team a
success
. Must possess effective verbal and writing skills & Strong diagnostic and
problem solving ability.
Experience Required : At least 6+ years experience.
Roles & Responsibilities :
1. Participate in vulnerability management and remediation process
2. Manage the remediation of identified risks
3. Implementation of the overall security strategy, policies, and
procedures
4. Coordinate the implementation of technical controls to support and
enforce defined security policies
5. Manage the day-to-day activities of threat and vulnerability
management, identify risk tolerances, recommend treatment plans and
communicate information about residual risk.
6. Reviewed policies and standards, and produced necessary metrics and
reports as required
7. Ensure audit trails, system logs and other monitoring data sources
are reviewed periodically and are in compliance with policies and audit
requirements
8. Communicate unresolved security exposures, misuse or noncompliance
situations to management
9. Design, test, evaluate and plan the implementation of new or
updated information security hardware or software, and analyze its impact on
the existing environment; administer security tools.
10. Coordinate with regulators, internal/external audit and issues owners
to close all open issues
11. Assist IT staff in understanding and responding to security audit
failures reported by auditors
12. Identify Missing patches and Service packs on all the Windows
machines.
13. Plan, coordinate and implement the missing patches.
14. Identify the bottlenecks in the sources, targets, mappings, sessions
and resolve the problems.
15. Develop code based on the requirements given by the user.
