The manager is located in Kansas, but this is a *REMOTE POSITION.* Below is
the job description, please note that *MANAGER IS** not looking for
Websphere or Weblogic Engi**neers*.



The right candidate will have *expert level understanding of Linux/Unix,
Apache and IIS*.  Also, any candidates with their *MCSE certification is a
must*.  *Advanced communication skills is required.*



The bill rate DOE.  It is a 6 month contract that will most likely go
longer.



 *Managed Services Web Engineer – Remote Position*

 *Skill Requirements:*

   - Extensive enterprise level Apache or IIS web server experience
   - Expert knowledge of Unix/Linux
   - Experience with various Application Servers running on multiple
   platforms; PHP, ColdFusion, Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, and WebLogic
   - Experience working with various open-source mail software; Sendmail,
   Postfix
   - Knowledge of web server security practices and products; SSL,
   Application Layer Firewall, IPS/IDS
   - Knowledge of Urchin web analytics
   - Knowledge of monitoring technologies; SNMP, WMI
   - Strong understanding of various application layer network protocols;
   DNS, FTP, SMTP, HTTP
   - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
   - Ability to clearly document project plans, testing plans, test
   results, instructions, and status reports
   - Ability to write clear documentation
   - Ability to communicate progress information clearly - both orally and
   in writing
   - Strong self-motivation
   - Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly
   - Team player with good interpersonal skills

 *Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*

 *5+ years of experience with Apache or  IIS within an enterprise
environment*

   -
   - *1 to 2 years in an ISP or hosting environment*
   - *MCSE or RHCE a plus*
