Hi CRM Deploy Master
Contract Duration: 6 months to 1 year Best market rates plus expenses San Francisco, CA Industry-Telecommunications Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Primary Responsibilities: Deploy code to all environments for Salesforce.com CRM projects Manage the deployment process, analyze code issues and work with developers to resolve them to ensure on-time and seamless deploy Enhance the existing deployment process by identifying areas for improvement in code quality, efficiency and effectiveness of code management and deployment Provide training to other staff on deployment process as necessary Participates in configurations and development of CRM solutions Qualifications: * Highly organized, strong attention to details, and proactive attitude * Ability to keep track of deployment calendar and take ownership that deployments are started and completed on time * Ability to review automated deployment results and communicate code issues to developers and managers. This requires some knowledge of Salesforce metadata or strong knowledge and experience in XML * Be proactive and look for ways to improve the existing deployment process. The Deploy Master may develop these directly or work with engineering team to spec and implement. Some examples include but are not limited to: a. Improve the manual changes documentation process, perhaps developing or implementing applications for automation * Create or implement for creating roles, queues, and other items that we currently treat as manual changes [Working knowledge of software development a plus: java, c#, .NET, or JavaScript, PERL] * Customize the build script to add features such as storing the deployed version in Salesforce, sending updates via chatter, etc. * Customize the profile diff tools to automatically document differences after deployment * Hooks into Subversion to verify developer check-in * Demonstrated capacity for analytical thinking and rapid, creative problem solving in a fast-paced environment * Experience with structured software development methodologies/processes, change management, release management * On-call responsibilities.
