Hi Senior Java/J2EE Engineer
6 month contract to hire position in San Diego, CA. There are 2 positions Seeking a Senior Java/J2EE Software Engineer to join a leader in software development located in the San Diego, CA area. The Software Engineer will actively participate in the design, development and implementation of the client's systems. These systems are the foundation upon which the client's products and customer solutions and applications are developed. The candidate of choice will further develop and continuously optimize their software services for the electronic workflow solution platform. This includes external SOAP services as well as internal Java services in the common services layer/services API. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES . Perform system analysis, design, development and implementation of enterprise software and scalable solutions in a high transaction environment. . Work collaboratively with Team Lead, Development Manager, Architecture, QA and other Software Developers in producing quality software products utilizing best practice methodology and technology. . Work in an Agile environment. EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE . Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information systems is required. . Minimum five (5) years' experience in Software Development. . 3+ years of full lifecycle software development within Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, Beans, EJBs and using development environment Eclipse. . Experience with Java Messaging Service (JMS). . Java programming experience involving design, development and implementation. . 3+ years server-side development experience: Web Services, AXIS 1.X and Involving quartz framework. . Oracle 10g Server PL/SQL development experience. . Experience with SOAP 1.1 Extensible Protocol Frameworks, SOAP S/MIME and MIME Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions, SOAP Async Messaging, SOAP RPC and SOAP Encoding. . N-Tier architecture experience. . An understanding of Base XML Technologies such as XML, XSD, XMLDSIG, XLINK and WSDL. . Familiarity with Base Protocol Technologies such as TCP, SMPT, FTP and HTTP. . Hands on development of JUnit Test Scripts. . Experience designing class models and sequence diagrams. . Working knowledge of architectural concepts: Publish-Subscribe, Content-Based Routing, Service-Oriented Architecture and Workflow. . Excellent debugging and diagnostic skills, demonstrating an ability to isolate difficult problems in distributed application architecture. . Oracle Toplink, Hibernate or any other Java Persistence API (JPA) work experience is desirable. . Knowledge of Scrum/Agile methodology. .
