Cognos Lead Chicago ,IL Start date is 02/25 and till end of august Scope of Work . Lead Cognos 10 technical upgrade project Verify C10 implementation . plan and refine tasks Execute technical tasks . Work with GIS Cognos resources during the upgrade project . Manage offshore resources (if applicable and required for Cognos 10 upgrade project) Main Tasks/Responsibilities . This individual will be responsible for Cognos 10 upgrade project. . Develop a detailed Cognos 10 upgrade plan and estimate required. . offshore resources to complete the project Develop communication. . Plan, weekly status reports and facilitate status update meetings with core team Ensure project milestones are met and raise any risks & issues to management . Manage offshore resources and assign tasks to them (as applicable), seek status updates and ensures project tasks are on schedule Job Description details . Takes ownership for solving Cognos 10 Upgrade related issues . Implement robust and stable solutions that fit the business need . Establish clear and open communication with core team and build a relationship of trust and reliability Commits and works towards timelines . Adheres to IT standards and works according IT policies . Potentially project management functions Communicates appropriately and efficiently is an active team player Shows flexibility and deals effectively with stressful situations . Has a client focus attitude . Follows standards and procedures . Bachelor' or Masters' degree in IT or equivalent Must have lead at least TWO Cognos 8.4 to Cognos 10 upgrade projects as team lead and technical architect. . Must be well versed with implementation of new modules of Cognos 10 .
